I am fairly new to having a real fire and had been using household coal which is obtainable from several sources in 10kg bags. We had the chimney swept when we moved in at the beginning of October to the highest standard by Sam Kimball of Churchtown, so you can imagine the shock it was when a large amount of soot fell from the fireplace. Sam came Straight over and after asking a few questions he informed me I was using the wrong type of coal.

He told me to contact Robert Bridge and Sons and to ask for Trebles.  This I did and after a brief conversation with the lady in the office a delivery was arranged for later the next day. I could not believe the difference when the fire was lit. It burned more evenly and gave off a lot more heat with very little smoke and no oily smell. I have since ordered a few more bags and am 100% happy with my purchase.
